Oh, My Little Snowflake
 
One of my favourite scents is Balsam Fir!   On our Christmas break from school, we'd play outside in the snow as long as we could.  Getting the massive snowsuit on, socks, extra socks, boots, scarf, hat to go inside the hat of the snow suit, boots, then, realizing I had to use the toilet.  UGH!  Take everything off and start over.  Once in the snowsuit and getting all bundled up we'd head into the white and gray world.  After playing and cheeks rosy, I'd lay in the snow.  It was peaceful and quiet. If I close my eyes, I can still see the barren trees and hear the wind wisping. Magical.  Often, it would be snowing.  Smelling the smoke of the fireplaces burning from the neighborhood.  Each snowflake is uniquely designed.  I cannot begin to estimate how many snowflakes I have consumed all those days.
